Spårvägsmuseet is SL's museum of Stockholm public transport, housed since 2022 in Gasverket's House 9 on Gasverkstorget – an 1897 industrial building designed by Ferdinand Boberg, the architect Bobergsgatan is named after. Among the trams, buses and metro cars, a wealth of objects, photos and films show how public transport has shaped Stockholm life for over a century. The museum also runs guided tours and activities, and has a café and a museum shop. Closed Mondays and some public holidays. The address is Gasverkstorget 1 and the entrance is open 11:00 to 17:00 Tuesday to Sunday. Telephone 08-123 337 01. The Gasverket area also holds a bakery, a restaurant and a climbing centre, so a museum visit can stretch into half a day without leaving the block.
